SHW appointed on Crawley Town Hall redevelopment

12 June 2020

South east surveying firm SHW has been appointed by Crawley Borough Council as sole letting agent on the high‐profile redevelopment of Crawley Town Hall following a rigorous procurement process.

The development will provide the first significant new‐build office scheme in the town centre for five years.

Following demolition of the 1960s Town Hall building, construction is under way on a new, 40,000 sq ft civic centre and 71,000 sq ft of commercial offices on The Boulevard site. The nine‐storey building is due for completion in early 2022.

Each floor of the building totals 15,000 sq ft and has been designed to accommodate differing size ranges to suit occupiers’ needs. It has a target BREEAM rating of excellent.

The £150m phased development by Crawley Borough Council and Westrock will also include a 10‐storey block of 182 flats, with ground floor commercial space, overlooking a new public square. Kier is the contractor.

We are delighted to be working with Crawley Borough Council to bring this high‐quality office space to the market. Whilst these are challenging times for all businesses, the central location of this building with its easy access to all amenities will appeal to a wide range of occupiers.
