The full programme for the Invest Crawley Conference has now launched, featuring a full day of high-profile discussions, an exclusive launch and insider insight into the future growth of one of the South East’s leading economic hubs.
Taking place on Wednesday 10 June at The Create Building and hosted by Crawley Borough Council, this year’s conference will bring together investors, developers, business leaders, public sector partners and innovators to explore Crawley’s ambitious plans for regeneration, sustainability, skills and economic growth.
Ian Duke, Chief Executive of Crawley Borough Council, is set to open the day with a keynote, leading into a significant panel discussion, ‘Opportunity Crawley - New Growth Strategy’, which will explore Crawley’s long-term growth vision as a new town and key economic engine for the South East with a £6 billion economy.
The conference will launch the Crawley Town Centre East Regeneration Plan, a major new vision for the eastern gateway into Crawley town centre. Delegates will be among the first to hear proposals for the transformation of six significant brownfield opportunity sites, helping to unlock new homes, jobs, investment and improved connectivity between the town centre, Manor Royal Business District and London Gatwick.
A programme highlight will be discussions on the future workforce needed to support Crawley’s continued success, including perspectives on the Sussex and Surrey Institute of Technology’s role and the partnerships being developed between education providers and employers to connect local people with high-value careers and apprenticeships.
Delegates will also learn about Crawley Borough Council’s economic vision for Crawley 2026 to 2040.
Following the morning conference, delegates will be invited to join an exclusive investor tour of key development and opportunity sites across Crawley town centre and Manor Royal Business District. Hosted in partnership with Metrobus and SHW Property, the tour will provide expert commentary and insight into the town’s investment pipeline and strategic growth ambitions.
The day will conclude with a reception event at the Institute of Technology, providing a tour and opportunity for networking.
Please note that attendees can also take part in one-to-one Meet the Planner sessions during lunch on a first come first served basis. To find out more about this, please contact acrawford@wlcreative.org.uk
