Queensway, The Pavement and Kingsgate - project update May 27 2019

Work on installing the paving along the middle section of Queensway has been completed and the area has been cleaned, sealed and reopened to pedestrian access. Installation of paving along The Pavement has progressed steadily with anticipation of completing the works in two weeks.

Works on installing the new paving outside retailers will begin this week, beginning at Decathlon and moving up towards Superdrug. Access to shops will be maintained as these works are carried out. Five of the new trees are being planted this week, along with the new timber seating for the benches. Works along the northern edge of the Memorial Gardens is on schedule and will continue.
