Crawley Borough Council is proud to announce a summer of celebration at Tilgate Park, marking 60 years since the council took ownership of the land and began transforming it into the much loved family attraction it is today.
Since 1966, Tilgate Park has grown into one of the region’s most popular destinations, offering beautiful gardens, lakes, woodland, family friendly attractions and a zoo.
Starting this Easter, the park celebrations will honour that legacy while inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a programme of events and activities, relive old memories and, most importantly, create new ones.
Tilgate Park holds a special place in the hearts of our residents, and celebrating 60 years of council ownership is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on its history and its importance to the town. We’re delighted to host a summer of activities that recognises how the park has grown into a cherished family attraction, and we look forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy everything Tilgate Park has to offer.
